Welcome to Jack's media website. Jack is a marine biologist, explorer, photographer, and educator.

Jack is an Assistant Professor - Research at the Louisiana State University Agricultural Center Aquatic Germplasm and Genetic Resources Center (AGGRC). He completed his Ph.D (January 2021) at Oregon State University in Virginia Weis’s Molecular Physiology lab. Feel free to explore Jack’s science work!

Jack started photography with a GoPro strapped to his chest and a cell phone shakily held up to the ocular of a microscope during a field biology course at the Univeristy of Washington’s Friday Harbor Laboratories. That summer he met many people from around the world including his friend Andrea. She had a DSLR camera and takes amazing images — her work and that summer inspired Jack to get a bigger camera and take more photographs of the world around him.
